CONSULAR SERVICES   >> ISSUANCE OF VISA  >>  RESIDENCE VISA Residence visas to Sri Lanka are only issued in Colombo by the Controller, Immigration & Emigration Therefore the applicants should make the applications directly to the Controller, Immigration & Emigration, Colombo. To obtain a residence visa, it is necessary to arrive in Sri Lanka on an entry visa issued by this Mission with the consignee of the Controller of Immigration and Emigration. Once the approval received from Controller Immigration and Emigration, Colombo, applicant should apply entry visa through Embassy. Please note that visit visas issued to tourists will not be considered for converting into residence visa.
